MVG and Dachau City Buses Will Be Affected by a Strike on Wednesday, 11 February 2026

As part of the ongoing collective bargaining negotiations in the TV-N Bavaria, the MVG in Munich as well as the Dachau city buses will be on strike all day on Wednesday, 11 February.

Affected areas in the event of a strike:

  • U-Bahn (subway), tram, and bus services in the city of Munich as well as in Dachau
  • Bus operations in Munich may run partially, but irregularly
  • Bus operations in Dachau will come to a complete halt
  • U-Bahn services will initially be suspended for safety reasons
  • Tram services depend on available staff; priority will be given to line 20
  • Special U-Bahn service from 17:30 for the DFB Cup match at the Allianz Arena
  • S-Bahn, regional trains, and regional buses are not affected.

We recommend using alternative means of transport on the strike day, forming carpools, or planning for home office if possible.

Please note: When searching for connections in advance, it cannot be guaranteed that the selected lines will actually operate later. Whether, where, and how many vehicles are in service may change throughout the day. Early connection searches are not reliable, as operations may change continuously. The MVG guarantee does not apply in the event of a strike; ticket costs will not be refunded.
